Guitarist and composer Jay Manley is exploring new and old sounds on the 21-string Saraswati Guitar designed by Wes Lambe. His music brings fingerstyle guitar, rock, indie classical and jazz together along with a surprising influence of Hindustani music.

With a life devoted to guitar, Manley has branched out by studying the Hindustani or North Indian classical musical tradition with guru Madhumita Sen Saha. Wes Lambe has designed Jay a semi-hollow body electric guitar with sympathetic and chikari strings much like the sitar.

In an upcoming album, there lies not only instrumental pieces but fearless lyrics, jazz harmony and a post punk fervor. This allows an exciting blend between western voice and exotic eastern tradition. Visit the Reverb Nation page to hear and buy two new songs that will be on the album.
